Smitten by the Brit

Hello, Welcome my blog.

Today I’m recommending the romance novel titled Smitten by the Brit.
I know! Cute title, right?!? Also cute cover!

Turned out it’s the second one in a series about a group of childhood girl-friends. They remind me of the Bennet sisters in Pride and Prejudice.

As soon as I finished this I wanted to read the others in the series including the one I missed, Hot for the Scot. (Another cute title)

Bonnie is a lover of the writing of Shakespeare and Jane Austen. (Also English professor) She would love to be in the middle of one of her favorite novels by Austen but she’s already engaged to her childhood sweetheart. With a unexpected turn of events Bonnie might get her chance to live out a Austen novel. With her heart broken she takes a short term job in England where she re-meets the man who seems like he stepped out of one of her favorite novels.
Maybe friends with benefits is just what she needs.

The sexual tension in this novel! Hot! *fan* One of my favorite things in a romance novel is sexual tension. How I miss it when I read some YA novels.

So I would like to give teenagers out there a blog that help them make an informative  decision about the next book they’re daring to read. I still remember the first romance novel I read and I wish someone had warned me about some of the things I would have found in those pages. I picked out one of the worst novels I could have started out with for my naive 13 years old mind.

This novel while it has somewhat sweet plot as far a romance novels goes, but I would not recommend it for first time romance novels readers. The sexual content rates somewhere between mild and medium.

Spoiler: The hero jerk-off to a fantasy of the heroine close to the beginning of the novel. Other then that it’s the usual two sex scenes and full of sexual tension.
